Police are investigating after a man was shot near Crystal Palace Park during the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened in Jasper Road on the border with Gipsy Hill at about 6.30am.

Officers were called to the scene but found no signs of a shooting.

A Metropolitan police spokesman said they were later informed that a man was being treated for gunshot wounds at a south London hospital, but his condition was not thought to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.
